Denmark Inflation Remains Stable In December

Consumer price inflation in Denmark has remained stable for the second month in a row in December, as evidenced by data from the statistical office of Denmark, published on Thursday.
Consumer price inflation in December was 0.8 percent, unchanged from October and November.
The agency reported that the transportation component had an inhibitory effect on inflation from 2.3 percent to 0.7 percent in December, mainly due to falling prices for gasoline and diesel.
Education was marked by the largest increase of 2.7 percent in December. Prices in restaurants and hotels increased by 1.7 percent due to higher prices for visiting restaurants and cafes and renting holiday homes.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index declined by 0.3 percent in December, after a similar increase noted in November.
