According to Statistics New Zealand, food prices in New Zealand declined seasonally by 0.2 percent from the previous month after rising 0.3 percent in October.
Excluding food fluctuations, food prices fell 0.6 percent on a monthly basis.
In annual terms, food prices rose 0.4 percent after rising 0.6 percent in the previous month.
Prices for fruits and vegetables fell by 6.7 percent year-on-year, while prices for meat, poultry and fish rose by 3.2 percent.
Prices for groceries did not change, while prices for non-alcoholic beverages rose by 0.4 percent, while prices for food in restaurants and ready-to-eat products rose by 2.9 percent.
