The service sector in Japan continued to expand in September, but at a slower pace, according to a recent Nikkei survey. The index reached a two-year low of 50.2.
In August, the index was from 51.5, although it remains just above the 50-point line, which separates expansion from contraction.
On an individual basis, demand and employment continued to grow, although price pressure remained high.
The survey also showed that the composite index fell to 50.7 in September, compared to 52.0 in August.
