The euro rose against most major currencies ahead of the release of reports on the PMI index

On Monday at 3:45 am ET, IHS Markit intends to publish data on the PMI index for Italy's manufacturing sector. After that, the final PMI figures from France and Germany will be published. At 4:00 am Eastern time, the release of the final PMI index in the manufacturing sector of the eurozone is expected.
On the eve of the publication of these reports, the euro demonstrated a mixed trade in relation to its main competitors. While the euro retreated against the franc, it grew up against other major rivals.
As of 3:40 am ET, the euro was trading at 128.86 against the yen, 1.1252 against the franc, 0.8993 against the pound and 1.1616 against the US dollar.
