The euro rose against most major currencies ahead of the release of PMI reports

Wednesday at 3:45 am ET is expected to release the PMI manufacturing index from Italy. The final reports on the index of business activity for the manufacturing sector of France and Germany will be published at 3:50 and 3:55 am Eastern time, respectively. At 4:00 am Eastern time, the release of data on the PMI index in the euro area is expected. On the eve of the publication of these reports, the euro demonstrated mixed trade in relation to its main competitors. While the euro rose against the yen, the dollar and the franc, it fell against the pound. As of 3:40 am ET, the euro was trading at 131.05 against the yen, 1.1590 against the franc, 0.8908 against the pound and 1.1691 against the US dollar.
